Bowron BabyCare Shorn Lambskin. This Comforter is absolute elegance! In stunning Oaten with a shorn pile height of 1.4", this Lambskin Comforter is so soft and cuddly for baby! Color: Oaten. Length 35 to 41 inches (80 to 95 cm); Minimum Width 19 inches (48 cm); Pile Height 1.4 inches (35 mm). Bowron selects lambs from the finest flocks from the vast sheep stations of Australia's outback, the high country runs and the lush green pastoral farms of New Zealand. Bowron operates tanneries in New Zealand and Australia, which are conveniently placed in the midst of prime sheep farming areas, ensuring a plentiful source of high quality raw material. To this day, every Bowron Sheepskin is the perfect result of the same methods pioneered in the 1880's by the Bowron brothers from Yorkshire. Their unique 42 step tanning method has been constantly refined over the past 100 years. The raw skins are still expertly trimmed, machined and hand washed before the tanning commences. The tanned fleece is dried, combed by machine then by hand and finally polished to enhance the natural lustre of the Sheepswool. Only then is the Bowron symbol of excellence attached to the Sheepskin. Bowron recommends the following method to wash your sheepskin rugs. Machine or hand wash in cold or warm water (water not to exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit) using a mild detergent. Pure Castile, biodegradable camp soaps or Eucalan Wool wash is recommended. Do not use Woolite or laundry detergents such as Tide. Line dry or dry flat and stretch to shape while damp. For best results, the sheepskin should be brushed with a wire brush when wet, when damp and then when dry. Do not tumble dry your sheepskin. Do not iron or bleach the Sheepskin. Bowron Sheepskin may also be drycleaned using either white spirits, hydrocarbon or perchlorethylene.
